Slouch No More! Upright can solve that…. its about training, just like everything in life.
Do you often get that nudge from a loved one to sit up straight or to stop slouching? I personally have experienced both over the years. When those nudges hit like blows to the soul of pride, I often wonder how bad is it? With more experience over time and trying to age gracefully, I realize that posture is equally important to overall health, not just about looking great or avoiding the nudge.
Just like any improvement efforts we all climb on the rollercoaster and take a ride. I will do better we say, I will get focused, set goals and resolutions. We wrap our willpower around them, only to fall short of the ultimate goal. I have come to learn that it just takes a little coaching. We often perform better when there is a coach involved, for example, a life coach for improving our approach, sports coaches squeezing out every energy in our body, or a personal trainer to push us.
There is a pattern that is obvious to most. The more you do something and you do it with quality the better you get at that task, effort, or thing. Take professional athletes for example. They don’t just pick up a ball and throw it on point, either through a hoop, into a glove or on target without putting in hours of training and practice.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
